Theresa Gay visited the opening of the Thesis InForm exhibition at LCC last night.
Mrs Gay greeted the crowds, shaking hands and reiterating a reassuring message of strong and stable government. Voters seemed evasive when asked by Mrs Gay if she could count on their vote, although the mood of the nation is certainly difficult to read in these changeable times.
Delivered authoritatively in front of 10 Downing Street, Mrs Gay’s stirring address – in which she noted that “it’s like you’re always stuck in second gear, when it hasn’t been your day, your week, your month, or even your year” – met with thunderous applause before she was chased from the room by a booing crowd.
Mrs Gay was later seen enjoying some chips and a fag, before taking some time out on the beach.
